Antibacterial Gloves

Embedded SystemsHealthcare Safety, Medical Wearables, Infection Control
Overview

Wearable gloves with embedded low-power UVC technology for active bacterial elimination. Designed for healthcare professionals and laboratory staff to enhance infection control beyond conventional physical barrier protection.

Key Features & Capabilities
  • Active bacterial elimination using UVC technology
  • Human-safe UVC exposure design
  • Low power consumption for extended use
  • Lightweight and wearable electronics integration
  • Enhanced hygiene and infection control
Challenge / Problem Statement

Conventional gloves act only as a physical barrier and do not actively eliminate bacteria present on the glove surface. This increases the risk of cross-contamination, especially in hospitals and laboratories.

Oxymora Solution

Oxymora developed Antibacterial Gloves using low-power UVC technology embedded into the glove structure. The UVC system is designed to effectively kill bacteria on the glove surface while ensuring that the emitted radiation is non-harmful to human skin.

Hardware
  • Low-power UVC LEDs
  • Power regulation and protection circuitry
  • Compact embedded control module
Software / Firmware
  • Embedded control logic for UVC activation
  • Timing and safety control algorithms
Outcome / Impact

Improved infection control in healthcare environments. Reduced risk of cross-contamination. Added active safety functionality to traditional PPE. Demonstrated innovation in wearable healthcare electronics.
