Light Dependent Smart Switch System
An automatic lighting control system using LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) sensors to detect ambient light intensity and automatically switch AC/DC electrical loads ON or OFF based on day/night conditions.
- Automatic day and night detection
- Supports both AC and DC electrical loads
- Reliable relay-based switching
- Simple and robust embedded design
- Low power consumption
- Minimal manual intervention
Manual operation of lighting and electrical loads often leads to unnecessary energy wastage, especially during day–night transitions. A simple, reliable, and automatic switching system is needed that works with both AC and DC loads without complex infrastructure.
Oxymora designed a Light Dependent Smart Switch System that uses an LDR to detect ambient light intensity. Based on light conditions, the embedded controller automatically switches electrical loads ON or OFF using relay-based control.
- LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) sensor
- Embedded microcontroller
- Relay modules for AC/DC switching
- Power supply and protection circuitry
- Embedded C
- Light threshold detection logic
- Switching control and debounce handling
Reduced energy consumption through automation. Eliminated human dependency for routine switching. Improved operational efficiency in lighting systems. Delivered a cost-effective and scalable automation solution.
